With the 2025 NCAA gymnastics season in full swing, top college athletes are already eyeing mid-April competitions national championship in Fort Worth, Texas.
Unlike elite gymnastics, where difficulty is more important than execution, the collegiate level emphasizes precision over big moves, so Division I athletes all aim to score a perfect 10 in competition.
Despite this disparity, many of the world’s most decorated elite gymnasts also compete in the NCAA. Two-time Olympian Jade Carey returns to OSU for her senior season at No. 14 while her U.S. teammates compete in Tokyo and Paris. Jordan ChilesEntering his junior year at No. 11 at UCLA.
The Bruin took the 2024 NCAA season off to prepare for last summer’s Olympics, where she will try to regain the uneven bars and floor exercise national titles she won in 2023.

Also generating early national championship buzz is No. 5 Cal, a 2024 finalist, which returns two of the nation’s best all-around players in senior Mia Lauzon and junior EMjae Frazier, as well as No. 6 Michigan State, the Big Ten champion, has a veteran roster that features stars Skylar Schulte and Sage Kellerman.
